2006 Triumvir Pinot Noir Amber Ridge Vineyard – Russian River Valley The Amber Ridge Vineyard is located on hilly terrain in central Russian River Valley, next to Gary Farrell's famous Star Ridge Vineyard. The vineyard is characterized by cool morning fog which yields to warm afternoon sun. Overnight temperatures cool significantly which is favorable to achieving perfect ripeness in the grapes. This elegant wine exhibits traditional characteristics of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, with a nose of strawberries and raspberries, a medium bodied structure, and a smooth, velvety finish. The wine drinks well now and will continue to mature in bottle.

2006 Triumvir Syrah Eaglepoint Ranch – Mendocino County The Eaglepoint Ranch vineyard is located in an area of mountainous soils and high elevation (approximately 1800 feet). This allows for cooler temperatures than the surrounding area, which can be as high as 100 degrees during the summer months. The vines are challenged by the high temperatures and soil composition, which consists of decomposed sandstone and moderate amounts of loam. This yields highly concentrated fruit with intense varietal character, typically exhibiting notes of black fruits, flower and pepper.
